Walk to Raiders games and skip the post-game rideshare surge.
Allegiant Stadium โ home of the Raiders โ sits just west of the south Strip, across Interstate 15. On a game day the smart move is to walk, not drive: the post-game rideshare surge is brutal and the lots empty slowly. A few south-Strip hotels put you a 10-to-15-minute walk from the gates.
Mandalay Bay is the closest Strip hotel to the stadium, a straight shot across the pedestrian bridge over I-15. Luxor and Excalibur sit right behind it and share the same walk โ both are among the cheapest big-name rooms in the city, which makes them the value pick for a game weekend. Stay in any of the three and you walk to kickoff and walk back after, no car, no surge.
Park MGM, New York-New York, and MGM Grand are a longer 20-minute walk or a short rideshare to the stadium. These are the better base if you're also going to a Golden Knights game or a concert at T-Mobile Arena, which sits behind New York-New York โ you'd be walking distance to both venues.
The pedestrian bridge from Mandalay Bay is the fastest route on foot and avoids stadium traffic entirely. If you drive, book parking in advance โ game-day lots sell out and street parking near the stadium is restricted. Rideshare drop-off is fine going in; coming out, walking back to a south-Strip hotel beats the pickup line most nights.
Raiders home games and big stadium concerts push hotel rates up across the south Strip, and they sell out early for marquee opponents. Book as soon as the schedule drops. Nearly every hotel adds a nightly resort fee of $35 to $55 on top of the rate.
